The Coppy of ye will and inventory here Follow: December ye 13th 1667 I Richard Church of Hadley in the Collony of Massachusetts, being sensible of ye frailty of my nature & not knowing how soone my Change may be, yet having ye pfect use of my understanding & being sound in my memory, I doe make this my Las Will and testamt as Followeth: Imprimis I doe ordaine constitute and appoynt my loveing wife Anne Church as my whole & Sole executrix, & doe give & bequeath unto my foresaid wife, all my Land and Lands lying wthin the Township of Hadley during the type and terms of her natural life; and after her decease I doe give the aforsaid land or lands to my two Sons Edward and Samuell Church, to be equally divided between them, upon these conditins that the aforesaid Edward & Samuell Church shall take into their custody & improvmt ye aforesaid Land & to pay unto my wife yearely during her Live Five pounds in wheat and other pay to her content, as also to provide and lay in Hay for ye wintering of one Cow & two Sheep, & to take care for the tending and mealing of them in ye winter season as they doe their own, as also to cutt and cart home in ye fittest season soe much fire wood as from tyme to time my wife shall stand in need of for her own necessary use during her life. Furthermore I doe give to my wife soe much use of ye barne as from tyme to tyme shee shall stand in need of, as also one acre of my home lott for her own use for ye terme of her life, & the rest of ye home lott and barne not here given to my wife I doe give & bequeath to my son Samuell after my decease, as exempting of the aforesid home lott from my other Lands given in ye prmises. Also I give to my Loveing wife three pound a yeare to be duely & truly paid my my Son John Church during her life in such pay as shall sute her and be contentfull to her, and after the decease of my wife, I give unto my Son John Church all my house houses, Land or Lands lying & being wthin ye bounds of Hartford and the libertyes thereof. Furthermore I give unto my Daughter Graves five pounds to be paid one full yeere after my decease; Also I doe give unto my Son Edward after ye decease of my wife ye house yt I now dwell in; Moreover what ever other estate chattelle goods or any other estate yt is not here given (after all my just debts are discharged I doe give & bequeath to my wife to be at her own dispose.
