WRIGHT, John B. Town of Saybrook, Conn. Probate Records Vol. 9 1826 - 1830 pp 78, 79 Adm (7 Aug 1826)           At a Court of Probate holden at Saybrook in & for the District of Say Brook on the 7th day of August A.D. 1826, Present, William Lynde Esq., Judge           William Wright, is appointed administrator of all & singular the goods, chattels, credits & Estate of John B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased, Gave Bond according to Law.           The Court limits and allows the Term of six months from this date for the creditors to the Estate of John B. Wright late of pp79 Say Brook deceased in which to exhibit their claims to the administrator for settlement, or allowance, or be debarred a recovery. Test. Samuel Ingham, Clerk           An inventory of the Estate of John B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased is directed to be presented to this Court for acceptance within sixty days from this date. Test. Samuel Ingham, Clerk           Jedediah Post & Asa Watrous are appointed to appraise the Estate both Real & personal of John B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased & make an inventory thereof & deliver it to the Administrator, who is hereby directed to present the same to this Court for acceptance. Test. Wright deceased made by us the subscribers, under oath according to Law this 29th day of December 1826.           Jedediah Post           Asa Watrous -- Appraisers           At the present Term of this Court, the foregoing inventory of the Estate of John B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased was presented, & admitted on oath of the Administrator and ordered to be recorded. Test. Samuel Ingham, Clerk pp 173 Notice to settle adm acct (5 Feb 1827)           The Administrator on the Estate of john B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased having presented for allowance his account of Administration on said Estate:           Ordered. That said Administrator give notice to all persons interested by causing a copy of this order to be published in a newspaper printed in New Haven and by causing a like copy forthwith to be set on the sign post in the 3rd Society of said Say Brook, that they may appear at a Probate Court to be holden in Killingworth on the first Monday in March 1827 at 9.o;clock in the forenoon, and show cause if any they have why the same should not be allowed. Test. Samuel Ingham, Clerk pp 193 settlement of admin acct & order of distribution (5 Mar 1827)           At a Court of Probate holden at Killingworth in and for the District of Say Brook on the 5th day of March A.D. 1827. Present William Lynde Esq. Judge           The Administrator on the Estate of John B. Wright late of Say Brook deceased presented his administrator account on said Estate amounting to $70.75 including $10.00 left in his hands to be accounted for, which is accepted & ordered to be kept on file           And now Jedediah Post, Asa Waterhouse and Abraham Towner, all of Say Brook, freeholders are appointed to distribute the remained of said Estate, to & among the heirs thereto according to Law & then make return to this Court for acceptance. Wright late of Say Brook deceased.           Set to William Wright, one certain piece of land called the north part of the Carter land, and Bounded Northerly on the land of William L'Hommedieu, Easterly on the land of William L'Hommedieu, Southerly on land distributed to Jeremiah Wright, Westwardly on the land of Silas pp 225 Carter of Killingworth and containing 8A 3R 26Rods amt. to …… $83.65           Set to William in personal Estate in Cash $27.77 ¼, 1 shirt .50 $28.27                     (total) $111.92 ¼           Set to Jeremiah Wright, one certain piece of land lying in the Carter land so called, and Bounded Northerly on the before received land distributed to William Wright, Easterly on the land of William L'Hommedieu, Southeasterly on land set to the said Jeremiah Wright in a former distribution, Westwardly on the land of Silas Carter of Killingworth and containing, 2A 2R 0 Rods & amounts to $18.85 Also in the side hill lot so called, and Bounded Northerly on the land of the said Jeremiah Wright, set to him in a former distribution, Eastwardly on highway, Southerly on land set to Ameline & Eliza Wright, Westwardly on the land of the Widow Rachael Wright set to her as dower and containing 2R 36Rods $22.98. One 12th part of the House $15.00, 1 vest .75, in cash $54.34                     $111.92 ¼           Set to Betsey Wright, one certain piece of salt marsh situate in Killingworth commonly called the Gu---- Meadow, the said meadow is the same piece of meadow that was distributed to the said John B. Wright in the distribution of his Father's Estate and containing 0A 5R 30Rods and amounting to $30., set to the said Betsy in cash $81.92 ¼                     $111.92 ¼           Set to Ameline ElizaWright, one certain piece of land in the side hill lot, so called and Bounded Northerly on the land distributed to Jeremiah Wright, Eastwardly on highway, Southwardly on the land of Benjamin Wright 2nd, & Westwardly on the land of the Widow Rachel, set her as Dower, and containing 1_ A _ 3R 32 Rods and amounting to $41.82 ½, 1 twelfth part of the House amounting to $15.00, in Cash $55.10                     $111.92 ¼ The above is a distribution of the Real and personal estate of John B. Wright of Say Brook deceased made by us the subscribers under oath according to Law.
