          At a Court of Probate holden at Say Brook in and for the District of Say Brook on the 27th day of January 1834(sic) present Samuel Ingham Esq. Judge
          George Clark 2nd and Lorinda Wright are appointed Administrators of all and singular the goods, chattels, credits and Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Say Brook deceased. Gave bond according to Law
          On the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Say Brook deceased Represented, Insolvent, Ordered, That Commissioners to receive & examine the claims of the creditors of said Estate, be appointed at the Probate office in Say Brook on the 1st day of March 1834 at 9. o;clock in the forenoon; and that all persons concerned may be notified thereof said Administrator will give public notice of the same in some newspaper printed in New Haven and on the sign post in said Say Brook, nearest where said deceased last dwelt.
          On motion of the Administrators of the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Say Brook deceased, this Court doth appoint Bela Clark, Josiah? Wright & William Woodstock all indifferent freeholders in said district to appraise said Estate under oath, and make an Inventory thereof and act in the premises according to Law

          At a Court of Probate holden at Say Brook in and for the District of Say Brook on the 1st day of March 1834, Present, Samuel Ingham Esq., Judge           William Bull and Tertius Nott, both of Say Brook, Judicious & disinterested persons are appointed commissioners

on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Say Brook deceased.
          Six months are limited and allowed the creditors to exhibit their claims to the commissioners thereon or be debarred a recovery; and that all persons interested therein may have notice thereof said Administrators on said Estate will give notice hereof by advertising in some newspaper printed in New Haven, and post a copy thereof on the public sign post in said Say Brook nearest to where said deceased last dwelt.

Comm. Report, order to set out Dowers Allowance to family - Order of Sale - & Order to exhibit Administration acct (8 Sep 1834)
          At a court of Probate holden at Saybrook within and for the District of Saybrook on the 8th day of Sept. 1834 - Present Obadiah Spencer Judge of said Court.
          A report of the Commissioners on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased amounting to $687.70 was presented and this court finds that the order of Notice of March 1, 1834 has been complyed with - whereupon said Report is accepted and ordered to be kept on file.           The Court appoints thus Bela Clark, Wm C. Bull and William Bull sufficient freeholders in said District to assign and set out to the widow of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased, her right of Dower in the Real Estate of said deceased. And said distributors are authorized and empowered to distribute to the said widow such personal estate of the said deceased as is exempt by law from being taken in Execution.
          On motion of the Administrators $150 are allowed to surviving members of the Family of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased out of his Estate for their support during the settlement of his said Estate.
          The Administrators of the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased presented an account of Debts and charges allowed against said Estate amounting to the sum of $950. and now move for liberty to sell Real and person Estate to discharge the same. whereupon this Court authorizes and empowers the said Administrators to sell so much of the Real and Personal Estate of said deceased at private sale for not less than inventory price, or at public vendue after advertising the same in some Newspaper printed in New Haven and on the sign post nearest to where said Real Estate lies and in the same town, as will procure said sum of $950, and then make return to this Court.
          Orders that the Administrators on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased exhibit their Administration account to this Court for adjustment at the Probate office in Saybrook on the first Monday of November 1834 at 2. o'clock afternoon, and that all persons interested in said Estate may be notified therefore the Administrators will cause this order to be published in a newspaper printed in New Haven and post a copy thereof on the sign post in said Saybrook nearest to where said deceased last dwelt.

The Court accepts and approves of the distribution of Dower to the widow of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased, this day returned into Court by the Distributors thereof, and orders the same to be Recorded, which Distribution is in the words and figures following, to wit:
          We the subscribers having been appointed by the Honorable Probate Court for the District of Saybrook to Distribute the widow Dower in the Real Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased and such personal property as is exempt by law from being taken by Execution

          One third part of the Dwelling house ………………..$133.33
          One third part of the Barn & Cow house ……………… 33.33
          Also About 27 acres of Land it being the southwest Corner of the land and that which the house and Barn stand Bounded Westerly by John Chittenden & George Mirrells Land to the fence by the Northwest woods then running Easterly as the fence runs till it come to the stone wall running Southerly a few rods from Josiah Wright's corner then Southerly as the fence runs to an apple tree in the corner of the stone wall then Southerly in a straight line to a stake and stones by John Chittendens Land twenty two rods from the corner then westerly by said Chittenden's land to the Southwest corner at the sum of …………………………….. 525.47

And reserving to the Proprietors of the remaining part of the farm the privilege of passing across the land set out as Dower so much as is necessary to improve their lands and Buildings.

Return of Sale & settlement of Administration account (24 Nov 1834)
          The Administrators on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased made a return of sale of Real and personal Estate of said made in performance of an order or orders of this court which return and report is accepted approved and ordered to be kept on file in the Registry of this court.
          This court on an inquiry finds, that the order of Notice for the Administrators on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased to exhibit their Administration account to this court for settlement and c. has been complied with.
          The Administrators on the Estate of Ezekiel Wright late of Saybrook deceased having been signed and ordered to present their Administration account to this Court on the first Monday in November 1834 which was on said 1st Monday of Nov 1834 continued to this day, the said Administrators presented their account of Administration on said Estate, which, including Dower distributed $691.13, Personal Estate exempt from Ex. set to the widow $128.80 Allowance to widow $150. Amt allowed by Comm. $687.70 & loss on sale at auction $59.85. Amount to $1888.67
          Also an amount of Credits Including Inventory & c. amounting to $2735.93, leaving to be distributed among the heirs ----- $847.26. Which Administration account is accepted, approved and ordered to be kept on file.

          Lorinda Wright of Saybrook is chosen and appointed Guardian of Orrin Wright of said Saybrook a minor about 14 years old and gave bond according to Law.
          Lorinda Wright of the Town and probate district of Saybrook is appointed Guardian of the following named children all minors of said Saybrook. viz
Joseph Dayton Wright, about 12 years old
Alpheus Wright, about 11 years old
George Clark Wright, about 9 years old
Al-yra? Wright, about 8 years old
Lorinda Wright 2nd, about 7 years old
Emily Wright, about 5 years old
Ezekiel Wright, about 4 years old
Justus Wright, about 3 years old
Sylvia Wright, about 1 ½ years old
and gave good and sufficient Bonds for each according to law.
