At a Court of Probate holden at Killingworth in and for the District of Say Brook on the 18 day of March 1833
Present. Samuel Ingham Esq. Judge
          In the name of God Amen. I Asher Wright of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that, is to say
          Imprimis, I Will, that all my debts and funeral charges be paid and discharged, by my Executor herein after named.
          Item. I give, and devise to my loving wife Beulah one half of my House hold furniture, to be hers, her heirs, and assigns forever. I also give to my said Wife, the other half of my said household furniture to use and improve during her natural life. I also give to my said Wife two cows and six Sheep for her to dispose of as she sees fit. I also give my said Wife, one half of the House & one half of the Barn, together with one third of all the land which I may be possessed of at the time of my decease to use and improve during her natural life.
          Item. I give and devise to my Son Jesse and his Heirs and assignees forever, all the House & Barn together with all the land of which I may be possessed at the time of my decease, to be under the encumbrance of the Widows dower during her natural life.
          I also give to my Daughters Lucy, Abigail, and Hannah one dollar each, & to the Heirs of my daughter Lois deceased one dollar.
          All the remainder of my personal Estate which I have not disposed of to my Wife I give to my son Jesse.
          Lastly I do hereby make and constitute my Son Jesse Wright Executor of this my last Will and Testament
          In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of May 1831,

          At the present Term of this Court. the foregoing last Will and Testament of Asher Wright late of Killingworth deceased was presented and having been proved, was approved, and ordered to be recorded, and the Executor therein named, accepted the trust and gave bond according to Law.
          Six months are limited, and allowed, the creditors to the Estate of Asher Wright late of Killingworth deceased in which to exhibit their claims to the Executor, or be debarred a recovery; and that all persons interested may be notified thereof, said Executor will cause this order to be published in a newspaper printed in New Haven, and post a copy on the sign post in said Killingworth, nearest to where said deceased last dwelt.
          Philander Stevens, Richard Bristol, and Isaac Bristol, all are indifferent freeholders, are appointed, and fully empowered, to appraise under oath, the Estate, Real and personal of Asher Wright late of Killingworth deceased, and make an inventory thereof according to Law.

          At the present Term of this Court, the foregoing Inventory of the Estate of Asher Wright late of
Killingworth deceased was presented, accepted & ordered to be recorded.
          On motion of the Widow of Asher Wright late of Killingworth deceased, this court appoints and fully
empowers Philander Stevens and Richard Bristol, both of Killingworth, indifferent freeholders, to distribute and set out to said Widow her right of dower in the Real Estate of said deceased and then make return to this Court for acceptance.

          At a Court of Probate holden at Killingworth in and for the District of Say Brook on the 7th day of October 1833.
Present Samuel Ingham Esq. Judge
          The Administrator on the Estate of Asher Wright late of Killingworth deceased is authorized to sell at public auction after advertising the same or at private sale for not less than inventory price so much of the Real Estate of said deceased, as will procure the sum of one hundred and six dollars and then make return to this Court for acceptance.
          At a Court of Probate holden at Killingworth in and for the District of Say Brook on the 3rd day of February 1834.
