          WHITMORE, Samuel, Middletown. Invt. £135-16-06. Taken 28 Jun, 1746, by Joseph MILLER and John BARTLETT. Part in lands: two and half acres in the homestead bounded north by Benjamin WETMORE and south by Moses PERSONS; three acres bounded west by Joseph HALE and east by Caleb WETMORE, sought by Joseph MILLER and north by a highway; four acres bounded east by Daniel DREGS; one and a half acres in third division sold to Elisha CLARK, and two acres and a half sold to John KIRBE.

          Court Record, Page 15 -- 1st July 1746: This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Samuel WHITMORE, late of Middletown, unto Samuel WHITMORE, son of the sd. decd., who gave bonds with Seth WHITMORE of Middletwon of £500. Exhibit of an inventory, which was accepted, ordered recorded and kept on file.

          Page 23 -- 2 September, 1746: An accound of Adms on the estate of Samuel WHITMORE, late of Middletown was now exhibited in Court by Samuel WHITMORE, Adms.:

          Page 28 -- 15 November, 1746: Pursuant to an act of the Genreal Assembly holden at New Haven on the 2nd Thursday of October, 1746, Samuel WHITMORE, Adms. on the estate of Samuel WHITMORE of Middletown, is directed to sell so much of the real estate of the sd. deceased as will procure the sum of £172-06-11 with the necessary charges of the sale, takning the advice of the Court of Probate in the District of Hartford therein.
