In the same court appeared Jabez Chapman and Mehitabel Warner named as Excu. in the
Will and Testament of John Warner Late of East Haddam. I accepted the trust --- in them
and exhibited Will and Testament which was duly proved and is by --- approved and ordered to
be recorded also the sugintor and Estate was Exhib. approved and ordered to be recorded.
In the name of God Amen. I John Warner of East Haddam in the County of Hartford and
Colony of Con. in New England being weak in body yet of sound disposeing mind and remembering that God hath appointed for all men to dye. I do make this my last Will and Testament.
First I give my soul into the hand of my infinately gracious and powerfull Redeemer my Body
I resign to the earth in decent Christian Burreill hopeing for a joyfull refariant
Now and as for the portion of worldly that God hath given to me I Give and Beaqueath in manner
and form as followeth. I give to my Dearly Beloved Wife Mehetabel all my moveable estate excepting what I shall otherwise bequeath in this my last will. Together with one third of all my house barn Orchard and land now in my posesion the moveable Estate to be at her despose as she
shall judge most for her comfort and the life of the real estate during her naturale life.
My sons John Dan.el and Nath.el have---whole of---portion. I give to my son Jabez Warner
forty pound in bills of credit of the old law or the equivalent thereof beside what he hath already
see to be paid out of my moveable estate by my Escu. I give to my three sons Abraham Nodiah
and Joseph Warner and to my Daug. Elisabeth Warner the lot of land that I bought of Sister
Anne Seldon bounded East on the great high way West on ----Jabez Chapman Farm North on the
land I now dwell upon South on the land I gave to my son John Warner to be equally divided
between them according to the quality there of. Further more I --- and appoint my Dearly
Beloved Wife and my ---- Jabez Chapman Escu. and Escu. of this my Last Will and Testament
and for the confirmation of this my Last Will and Testament I have here unto set my hand and
seal this 17th Day of Jan. annogne domini 1748 year

within written will and made solemn oath that on the 17th Day of Jan. 1748 they saw
Mr. John Warner when they judged him to be of sound and disposeing mind and memory
Sign Seal and heard him publicly pronounce and declare the with in written ----to be his
Last Will and Testament and they together with Mr John Spencer Dec. Set to their names
as witneses in the presence and at desire of the Testator
