Andrew WARNER, Middletown. Invt. £624-12-10. Taken 29 Apr 1726, by John COLLINS, Joseph ROCKWELL & Robert WARNER. Will dated 6 Apr 1726.
I, Andrew WARNER of Middletown, do make this my last will & testament: I give to my loving sister Hannah WARNER the use of all my dwelling house & barn & all my home lott, and the meadow I bought of Thomas STOW, and the land we call Addams lott, and my Indian Hill lott, the use of the whole of these till my nephew Andrew WARNER, who dwells with me, shall come of age, and then to resign 1-2 of the barn & house and 1-2 of all the above specified land to him, and to keep the use of the other half during her natural life. Also I give to her, after my just debts & funeral charges are paid, and the legacies after mentioned to the church, and that to John BARNES, the use of all my household stuff, money, stock, husbandry utensils and moveables of all kinds, during her natural life, then to be equally divided among my brethren & my sisters. I give to my cousin Andrew WARNER, who now lives with me, my house & barn & all my house lotts, and the meadow I bought of Thomas STOW, and the land we call Addams lott by Sergt. STOW's, and my lott at Indian Hill, all the above-mentioned I give to him & his heirs forever, to have the possession and use of, with 1-2 when he shall arrive at the age of 21 years, and the other half at the decease of his Aunt Hannah. To my brothers John & Joseph, and my sisters Mary & Rebeckah, I give all my other land, excepting what was given to John BARNES, to be equallyd divided among them. And also, what shall be left of my household stuff and stock at my sister Hannah's decease to be equally divided among them & thier heirs. I give to the church in this place £1- to be delivered to the pastor & deacons, to be laid out in a piece of plate for the sd. church's use. To John BARNES, all my whealwright toools of what name soever. Also I appoint my sister Hannah, with my brothers John & Joseph, my executors. I desire the Rev. Mr. Russell & Decon ROCKWELL to be overseers to this my will.
