Jehosphaphat STARR, late of Newport, in Rhode Island. Invt. £60-08-02. Taken in Middletown, 20 Jul 1717, by Samuel CORNWALL & Samuel GREEN.

Court Record, Page 38 -- 2 Jul 1717: Whereas, Jehosaphat STARR, sometime of Newport, on Rhode Island, dyed at sea, and it appearing to this Court that there is estate of the deceast within the County of Hartford, and likewise informed by Joseph STARR of Middletown that he has in his hands considerable of the estate of the deceased: This Court do therefore grant letters of administration on sd. estate unto sd. Joseph STARR, who gave bond.

Page 45 -- 29 Nov 1717: Adms. exhibits invt. & an account of his administration: Debts & charges, £2-00-06; amount of inventory, £60-09-02; for distribution, £58-08-08. Order to dist. the estate: To Capt. Thomas WARD in right of his wife Elizabeth, one of the sisters of sd. decd., £29-04-04; and to Hannah GREENFIELD of Newport, the other sister of the sd. decd., £29-04-04. And this Court do appoint Samuel CORNWALL, Samuel GREEN & John WHITE, of Middletown, distributors.
