PHILLIPS, Capt. George, Middletown. Invt. £24,734-13-03. Taken 5 March, 1747-8 by Benjamin ADKINS, Jonathan ALLIN and Thomas GOODWIN. Additional inventory, £2423-06-00. Taken 12 March, 1755, by Ephraim ADKINS and Jonathan ALLIN.
         
Court Record, Page 62 -- 24 March, 1748. This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Capt. George PHILLIPS, late of Middletown, unto George PHILLIPS, son of the sd. decd., who gave bonds with Capt. Nathaniel HOOKER. Exhibited an inventory, which was ordered recordee and kept on file.
         
Page 87 -- 2 February, 1748-9: Mr. George PHILLIPS of Middletown, Adms. on the estate of Capt. George PHILLIPS, late of Middletown, now moved for distribution of the real and personal estate: Whereupon the Court appoint Jonathan ALLIN, Thomas GOODWIN and William ROCKWELL of Middletown to distribute both real and personal estate: To George PHILLIPS, son of the sd. decd., a double share or part; and to Jabez HAMLIN, Esq. in right of his wife, who survived her father the sd. decd., 1-4 part of the moveable estate and 1-4 par of the real estate of the sd. decd.; and also to the heirs of Margaret PHILLIPS, alias HAMLIN, 1-4 part of the real estate; and make return of their doings in Court.
         
Page 54 (Vol XVII) 15 March, 1755: Epaphras LORD, Esq., guardian to Samuel Phillips LORD and Hope LORD (alias JONES), minors, children of Mrs. Hope PHILLIPS, alias LORD, showing this Court that there is in the distribution of the estate of Capt. George PHILLIPS some lands distributed to the sd. minors which lines in common between them, moves to this Court that suitable persons may be appointed to assist him in dividing the lands: Whereupon this Court appoint Major Jabez HAMLIN, Doctor Abijah MORE and George PHILIPS, of Middletown, to assist sd. guardian in making division between sd. minors, dividing 2-3 thereof to the sd. Samuel Philips LORD, and 1-3 to Hope LORD alisa JONES, and make return thereof to this Court. George PHILIPS, Adms., exhibited an account of his Adms. Accepted. Order for distribution, viz:

And appoint Jonathan ALLIN, William ROCKWELL and Abijah MOORE distributors. Also, a report of the distributors, viz., Jonathan ALLIN and Thomas GOODWIN, of their distribution of a part of the estate. Account accepted.
         
Page 71 -- 23 June, 1755: Epaphrus LORD, Esq., guardian to Samuel Phillips LORD, a minor, and Hope LORD (alias JONES), heirs to one-quarter part of the estate of Capt. George PHILLIPS, late of Middletown decd. (in right of their mother, Mrs. Hope PHILLIPS, alias LORD, who was one of the heirs of the estate of the said George PHILLIPS decd.) moves to this Court that the estate descended to them in right of their mother from the said George PHILLIPS may be distributed to them according to law: Whereupon this Court appoint Major Jabez HAMLIN, George PHILLIPS and Doctor Abijah MOORE distributors.
