Court Record, Page 105 -- 6 Jun 1749: This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Samuel FREEMAN, late of Middletown decd., unto Elizabeth FREEMAN, widow, who gave bonds with Cornelius KNOWLES of Middletown of £100. Exhibit of an inventory. Accepted and ordered to be recorded and kept on file.

Page 127 -- 1 May 1750: An account of Adms. on the estate of Samuel FREEMAN, late of Middletown, was now exhibited in Court by Elizabeth FREEMAN, Adms.: Paid in debts & charges, £40-00-04. Account is allowed and ordered to be kept on file.

Page 99 (Vol XVI) 1st May 1753: A further account of Adms. was exhibited in Court by the sd. Adms. Accepted. This Court order distribution of the estate, viz.: to James FREEMAN, eldest son, his double share; and to Gideon FREEMAN & Elizabeth SNOW, Alice BROWN, Rebekah WALKER, Mary FREEMAN, Priscilla FREEMAN & Abigail FREEMAN, children of sd. deceased, to each of them their single shares. And appoint Robert YOUNGs, Philip GOFF & Jonathan SMITH, of Middletown, distributors. Also this Court direct them to set out to Elizabeth, the relict, her thirds, and make return of their doings to this Court.
