ARNOLD, Mary, Haddam. Invt. £30-18-05. Taken 4 December, 1714, by Simon SMITH, Ebenezer FRISBIE and Joseph ARNOLD. Will nuncupative, dated 2 July, 1714.
The widow, Mary ARNOLD, late wife to Josiah ARNOLD deceased, sometime before her death, and then at that time in her right mind and understanding, did declare to us, James WELLS and Rebeckah WELLS, in these words: "That what estate is mine I give and will it to my two dafters." Mr. James WELLS and Rebeckah WELLS his wife, above named, being neither of them able to attend Court at this time, appeared in Haddam and made oath that the above named widow, now deceased, called them to her (and dayd as above) that what estate was hers she willed to her two daughters, and desired them to see that this was performed, andthat the said words were spak to them ye same day she departed.
Before me: John HAMLIN, Assistant.
