MIDDLESEX CO., CT, GRAVESTONES OF JOHN WARNER
& MEHITABLE CHAPMAN RICHARDSON WARNER
The Tombstones of John and Mehitable Chapman Richardson Warner (Worner) in the Second Burial Ground in East Haddam CT. Located to the front as you enter.
John`s stone lies to the left of Mehitable`s and has the head of a gentleman wearing a powdered wig on the top left. The date of his death, his name, and parts of the inscription can be read. "Here lies interned the body of Mr. John Worner who died March y 17 1750 in his 73 year"
Her stone has a cherub that is still visable center top and parts of her name can be read as can the date of her death, March 10, 1776 at age 87. The stones are covered with lichen and difficult to read. I was able to get several pics and with the help of the computer could see some things that were not visable with the naked eye.
