Two tombstones for Deacon Benjamin CARTER, b. between 1702-170, died 21 Aug 1759. He married Jane Kelsey 18 January 1726/27. He was the son of Robert CARTER and Hannah LUCAS. The first tombstone picture was taken by LeRoy CARTER and the second one was taken by me in April, 2001. Evidentially the old one was broken or fallen and had been replaced by the Indian River Cemetery Association. He was the father of Jane, Abigail, Catherine and Benjamin CARTER.
