Second Burial Ground

Location:
Down an abandoned, rocky road, behind the Stables located at: 232 Town St. in East Haddam.

The Burial Ground was opened as early as 1714 and originally stood in the median strip between the two roads of an ancient highway that ran from Hadlyme to Moodus. Both the road and burial ground were abandoned in 1800. To access this burial ground ask permission at the stables to cross their property, they will direct you and possibly accompany you down there. It is about a 15 min. hike up and down a rutted rocky trail.
