Deed from Samuel WRIGHT to James WRIGHT

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel WRIGHT of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in new England for and in Consideration of Fifty pounds in money which I have allready received in hand of James WRIGHT of Say-Brook in the County aforesaid have given granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed unto him the said James WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever Eight acres of Salt Meadow lying on the Westerly side of Manuneateset River in the Township of Saybrook aforesaid bounded Westerly and Southerly on Benj. MERRILL's land, Easterly on Ephraim KELSEY's Meadow North Easterly on Manunketeset River and Northwesterly on Benj. MERRILL's Meadow Containing Eight Acres be it more or less.

To have and to hold the said above described meadow with all the priviledges and appurtenances thereof to the only proper use and behoof of him the said James WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever and I the said Samuel WRIGHT for myself my heirs &c., Do hereby Covenant and Grant to and with the said James WRIGHT his Heirs and assigns that I am the sole owner of the Premises and have good right and lawfull Authority to convey the same as abovesaid and that hence forth and forever hereafter it shall be lawfull for the said James WRIGHT his heirs and Assigns by force and virtue of these presents to enter upon have hold use Posses and enjoy the above granted premises with out any ejectment disturbance or Incumbrance in ye law What soever.

And Furthermore I the said Sam'll WRIGHT for myself my heirs Executors and administrators do by these presents Covenant and ingage the above demised premises unto him the said James WRIGHT his heirs and assigns against all the claims and demands of all persons Whomsoever hereafter to Warrant Secure and Defend.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of December A. D. 1738.
