Deed from James WRIGHT to Nathaniel POST

To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that I James WRIGHT of Say brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of fifteen pounds currant money to me in hand paid by Nathaniel POST of Say brook aforesaid the receipt whereof I do Hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold alienated conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Do freely and fully & absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene convey and confirm unto him the said Nathaniel POST his heirs and assigns forever two certain tracts of land scituated in Say brook aforesaid in Oyster River Quarter one piece lyes on the south side of William HOPKIN's land and bounded north thereon 32 rods west on Common land 54 rods, south on Common land 30 rods, east on Daniel POST's land 60 rods; the north west corner is a heap of Stones on a Rock, the south east corner is a heap of stones on a white oak stump the north east and south west corner are black oak trees marked and stones about them which piece contains eleven acres,

The other piece lyes on the north side of said POST's house lot and and bounded south thereon and is in length east and west 28 rods, and in weadth 23 rods, all the corners are heaps of stones and is bounded west north and east on common land and contains four acres,

To have and to Hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances priveledges and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Nath'll POST his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof forever.

And I the said James WRIGHT for my self my heirs and Executors & administrators Do Covenant promise and grant to and with the said Nathaniel POST his heirs and assigns that before ye ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawfull owner of the above granted premises and have in my self good right to sell the same in manner as above said and that the said POST his heirs and assigns shall and may at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupie posses and enjoy the said demised premises free and clear freely and clearly acquitted exonerated and discharged of and from all manner of former and other gifts grants sales or incumbrances whatsoever moreover I the said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs executors and administrators Do promise and engage the above granted premises unto him the said POST his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claims of any person or persons whomsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of March A.D. 1736.
