Deed from James WRIGHT to Samuel PLATTS

To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come Greeting

Know ye that I James WRIGHT of Say-Brook in New London County in New England for a valuable Consideration to me in hand Rec'd before ye ensealing hereof by Sam'll PLATTS of aboves'd SayBrook ye Receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge to full satisfaction have given granted sold aliened conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents Do freely fully & absolutely give, grant Bargain sell aliene convey & Confirm unto him ye said Sam'll PLATTS his heirs & assigns forever a Certain Tract or Parcel of land situate n Say-Brook aforesaid in Oyster River Quarter at ye South end of said PLATTS land begining at a small Wallnut tree thence South Sixty five Rods to a Chestnut tree thence running Westerly fourty four rods to a Chestnut tree thence running Northerly fourty two Rods to a small saxafax standing in or near s'd PLATTS land & thence running Eastward Sixty one Rods to a small Wallnut ye first mentioned Corner which is ye North East Corner of the said land containing Seventeen acres & an half.

To Have & To Hold the s'd granted and bargained premises with all ye appurtenances priviledges & commodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him ye said Sam'll PLATTS his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use benefit & behoof forever & I ye said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant Promise & Grant to & with ye s'd Samuel PLATTS his heirs & assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am the true sole & lawfull owner of ye above bargained premises & have in myself good right full Power & lawfull authority to bargain & sell the same in manner as aboves'd & that the said Samuel PLATTS his heirs & assigns shall and may from time to time & at all times forever hereafter by force & virtue of these presents lawfully peaceably & Quietly have hold use occupie possess and enjoy the said granted premises freely & clearly acquitted exonerated and Discharged of & from all manner of former or other gifts grants bargains sales or Incumbrances in the law whatsoever moreover I the said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs Executors & administrators Do promise & Engage the above granted premises unto him the said Sam'll PLATTS his heirs & assigns against the lawfull Claims or Demands of any person or persons whomsoever forever to Warrant Secure & Defend.
