Deed from James WRIGHT, yeoman to Peter MURDOCK, trader
To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I James WRIGHT of Killingworth in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England yeoman for and in Consideration of ye sum of one hundred pounds Currant lawfull money of New England to me in hand before ye ensealing hereof well & truly paid by Peter MURDOCK of Saybrook, County and Colony aforesaid trader the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & myself therewith fully satisfied & Contented & there of & Every part thereof of Do exonorate acquit & Discharge ye said Peter MURDOCK his heirs Executors administrators forever by these presents have given granted bargained sold alienated Conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents Do freely & fully & absolutely give, grant, bargain sell aliene Convey & Confirm unto him ye said Peter MURDOCK his heirs and assigns forever all my part which is three quarters of a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in ye Township of Say Brook in Oyster River Quarter. Containing by estimation one hundred & six acres in the whole which is seventy nine acres & an half is my of ye abovds'd tract of land the whole tract above mentioned as it lyeth within the bounds hereafter mentioned is Called and known by the name of treacle hill & in ye whole is bounded South & West by meadow & Creek, Naorth by ye highway nine acres & a half within the afores'd bounds.
I ye above names James WRIGHT for myself my heirs Executors or administrators have given granted Released & quit claimed unto & made over all my Right title & Interest in ye afores'd Seventy nine acres & an half of land unto Peter MURDOCK aforesaid together with all the Commodities previledges & appurtainances thereunto beloiging or in any wise there unto apertaining to him the said Peter MURDOCK his heirs & assigns to have & to hold all ye above granted & bargained premises to his & their use benefitt & behoof forever & I ye above names James WRIGHT Do Dovenant & promise to and with ye afores'd Peter MURDOCK that from my heirs or any person or persons by or under me forever to Warrant Secure & Defend ye same in Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this first day of June Anno Domini 1728, & in ye Eleventh year of our King George of Great Brittain france & Ireland.
