Deed from James WRIGHT to Thomas MOREHOUSE

Know all men by these presents that I James WRIGHT of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut, in new England, for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen pounds money of the old tenor fills of credit to me in hand paid by Thomas MOREHOUSE of said Saybrook, in the County aforesaid have given granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed unto him the said Thos. MOREHOUSE his heirs and assigns forever six acres of land lying & being in the Township of Saybrook aforesaid in Oyster River Quarter said Land lying and being in the Township of Saybrook aforesaid in Oyster River Quarter said land lying Norwest of sum land of said MOREHOUSE bought of Sam'll JONES Jun'r and is bounded Southerly 18 rods on said land and Easterly 36 rods on his other land and 20 rods on land of said JONES & Northerly 17 rods on Common land and Westerly 60 rods on land left for a highway ye Southwest and Southeast corners are black oaks the North east a chestnut and the Norwest a Wallnut stadle the which tress are all marked.

To Have and to Hold all the above granted and bargained and described land with all ye priviledges & appurtenances thereof to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs & assigns forever and I said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs &c., do hereby Covenant and grant to & with the said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs & assigns that I am the sole owner of the premises and have good right & lawfull authority to convey the same as abovesaid and that henceforth & forever hereafter it shall be lawfull for the said Thomas MOREHOUSE his heirs & assigns by force of these presents to enter upon have hold use possess and enjoy the above granted premises without any Encumbrances in the law whatsoever and I the said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs and assigns against all the claims & Demands of all persons whomsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of November A.D. 1747.
