Deed from Samuel WRIGHT to William KELCY

To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting; Know ye that I Sam'll WRIGHT of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for a valuable consideration of twenty pounds Currant money to me in hand paid by William KELCY of Say-Brook aforesaid the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene convey and confirm unto him the said William KELCY his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of Salt Meadow scituate within the Township of Say-Brook aforesaid it lying and beong on the South side of Manuncateset River and is bounded as follows viz: begining at ye Mouth of the Broad Creek so called that Runs into the River and from thence running by said River thirty six rods to a stake, and from thence running Southeasterly Sixteen rods to a ditch and from thence running by said ditch Seventeen rods to ye first mentioned Broad Creek fifty rods by said creek containing four acres be it more or less

To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with all ye appurtenances priviledges and Commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said KELCY his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and I the said WRIGHT for my self my heirs executors and administrators Do Covenant promise and grant to and with the said William KELCY his heirs and assigns that before the ensealing hereof I am ye true sole owner of the above granted premises and have in myself good right full power and lawfull authority to bargain and sell the same in manner as above said and that ye said KELCY his heirs and assigns forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents lawfully peaceably and quietly have hold use occupie possess and enjoy the said demised premises free and clear freely and clearly acquitted exonerate and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other gifts grants bargains sales or incumbrances in ye law whatsoever moreover I the said Sam'll WRIGHT do by these presents Bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to Warrant and Secure unto William KELCY his heirs and assigns against ye lawfull claims or demands of any person or persons whomsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of June A.D. 1739.
