Deed from James WRIGHT, Senior to Charles HAZELLTON

Know all men by these presents that I James WRIGHT Sen'r of Say Book in the ye County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England Husbandman for & in Consideration of two Hundred pounds in good & Currant money of ye said Colony to me in hand before ye Insealing hereof well & truly paid by Charles HAZELLTON of Killingworth in ye County aforesaid Weaver have given, granted bargained sold conveyed & Confirmed & by these presents Do fully freely and absolutely give, grant bargain sell convey & confirm unto ye said Charles HAZELLTON his heirs & assigns a certain lott of Land to be laid out in ye Lands at Pataconk in ye township of Say Brook aforesaid being ye twenty ninth lott as it was Drawn with ye Rest of ye lotts ye 30th of December Anno 1667 at a town meeting in Saybrook together with the Right & Allotment belonging to ye Estate of two hundred pounds in ye undivided Lands at Pataconke,

To Have & to Hold ye said Lott to be laid out together with ye said two Hundred pounds Right with all ye Divisions that now do or ever shall belong there to or be laid out there upon and all and singular ye profits privileges appurtenances and conveniences to any of every of them belonging or in any wise appertaining to ye only proper use benefit & behoof of ye sd Charles HAZELLTON his heirs & assigns forever & I ye said James WRIGHT for myself my heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant Promise & Grant to and with ye said Charles HAZELLTON his heirs that before ye ensealing hereof I am ye true sole & lawfull owner of ye above bargained Premises & therefore have in myself good right full Power & lawfull authority to Dispose of ye same as above said & that ye said Charles HAZELLTON his heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time & at all times forever hereafter by force & vertue of these presents lawfully peaceably & quietly have hold use possess & Injoy ye same & every part & appurtainances thereof without any Ejectment Disseizene Molestation Disturbance or Incumbrance of title whatsoever & him ye said Charles HAZELLTON his heirs & assigns in ye like good & quiet Possession of ye premises & against ye lawfull claims & Demands of any Person or persons whatsoever I ye said James WRIGHT Do by these Presnets oblige myself my heirs executors & administrators to Warrant Secure & Defend

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 17th day of August in ye Ninth year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Brittain &c. Anno Domini 1722,
