Deed from James WRIGHT to John CHAPMAN

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I James WRIGHT of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds currant money to me in hand paid by James WRIGHT do hereby acknowledge & therefore do give grant Remise Release & forever Quit Claim & by these presents do fully & freely & Absolutely give grant Release remise & forever Quit Claim unto the said John CHAPMAN his heirs and assigns all the right title interest claim & demand whatsoever unto my land lying and being within the Township of Say-Brook aforesaid in a place called Pataconk in said Say-Brook be the same a larger or lesser quantity & butted and bounded as per Records of the Town fully appears by a deed under the hand of said CHAPMAN to me said WRIGHT bearing date ye 15th day of June A.D. 1740.

To Have and To Hold all my right in the Remised and Released premises and the apputenances thereunto belonging or in anay wise appertaining unto him the said John CHAPMAN his heirs & assigns to his and their ownly proper use and behoof so that neither I the said James WRIGHT nor any other person in my name or for me right or stead shall nor will by an ways means or pretences whatsoever hereafter have any claim chaleng or demand any right title or interest in and to the premises or any part or parcel thereof and therefrom I the said James WRIGHT shall be utterly secluded and forever debared by these presents.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 29th day of October A. D. 1745.
