Deed from James WRIGHT to Samuel BAKER

To all Christian People to whome these Presents shall come, Know ye that I James WRIGHT of Saybrook, in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in consideration of the full and just sum of twenty five pounds in lawful money to me in hand paid by Sam'll BAKER of Branford in New Haven County and Colony aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself therewith fully satisfied contented and paid and therefore do acquit and forever discharge the said Sam'll BAKER his heirs executors and administrators for and in consideration whereof I the said James WRIGHT have and do by these presents do give grant sell and forever make sure to him the said Sam'll BAKER to him his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in say-brook in the aforesaid county of New London which land was formerly Samuell CHALKER's Dec'd containing five acres and to be allowed as it lyes butted and bounded Easterly on said BAKER's own land Southerly and Westerly on highway and northerly on land belonging to ye CHALKER's.

To have and to Hold the said five acres of land together with all and singular the priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Sam'll BAKER to him his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all manner of Incumbrances whatsoever.

Moreover I the said James WRIGHT do hereby Bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to Warrant Secure and Defend the said Bargained Premises unto him the said Samuel BAKER to him his heirs and assigns forever against any manner of lawfull claims or demands of any Person or persons whatsoever.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of August A. 1742.
