To all People to whom these Presents shall come-Greeting: Know ye, That We Richard W. WRIGHT and Lucy P. WRIGHT of Westbrook in the County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for the consideration of four hundred and fifty Dollars received to our full satisfaction of Lorenzo SMITH of Said Westbrook (?) do give, grant bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Lorenzo SMITH his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of Land with a Dwelling House and Barn Thereon Standing lying in Said Westbrook containing one acre Be the Same more or less Commonly called the Lewis JONES place and Bounded East by Highway, North and East on Joseph BURDICKS Land South by Land formerly owned by Perry JONES.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Grantee his Heirs and Assigns for ever, to him and their proper use and behoof. And also, We the said Grantors do for our selves and our heirs forever, to WARRANT and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Grantee his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In Witness Whereof we have hereinto set our hands and seals this Seventh day of October A. D. 1853.
