Deed from Job WRIGHT and Samuel CARTER to Friend WHITTLESEY

To all People to whom these Presents shall come, --Greeting:

KNOW YE, That, we Job WRIGHT of Killingworth and Samuel CARTER of Saybrook County of Middlesex and State of Connecticut for the consideration of three hundred Dollars received to our full satisfaction of Friend WHITTLESEY of Killingworth Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Friend WHITTLESEY two pieces of land situated n the Borough of Killingworth, the first piece being the undivided fourth part of land and buildings thereon standing formerly the property of Noah LANE situated on main street, bounded south on s'd Street, west on land of John BURROWS, north on Land of David RESEETTER and George ELLIOTT, east on land of Abner S. FARNHAM, containing one acre and three fourths be the same more or less. Also one piece of salt meadow, bounded south and west on land of the heirs of Sylvester REDFIELD, east on land of Abner FARNHAM, north on land of David DIBBELL, containing a bout two acres be the same more or less.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained Premises, with the Appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Friend WHITTLESEY his Heirs and Assigns for ever, to him and their own proper Use and Behoof. And also, we the said Job WRIGHT and Samuel CARTER do for ourselves our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, covenant with the said Friend WHITTLESEY his Heirs and Assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these Presents, we are well seized of the Premises, as a good indefeasible Estate in Fee Simple: and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore, we the said Job WRIGHT & Samuel CARTER do by these presents bind ourselves and our Heirs for ever to WARRANT and defend the above granted and bargained Premises to the said Friend WHITTLESEY his Heirs and Assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
