Entered June ye 16th 1712

To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come I Thomas WILLIAMS of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Colonie of Connecticut in New England send Greeting Know Ye that I the s'd Thomas WILLIAMS for a Valuable consideration in hand Received of Ebenezer HURD of the towne County and Colonie afore s'd have given, granted, bargained sold Alienated Conveyed and Confirmed unto him the s'd Ebenezer HURD, his heirs and assigns forever a Certain tract or parcel of upland Scituate and bring in the Township of Killingworth afores'd on the Long hill, containing seven Acres more or less, being in breadth fourteen rods in length Eighty road Containing Seven Acres more or less, Bounded Northerly by the Land of the Cap't John CRANE, Southerly by the Land of Joseph KELCEY Easterly and Westerly by common or highways, To have and to hold the above granted and bargained Land with the appurtenances priveliges and comodoties to the same belonging or in any waies appertaining to him ye s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof forever and I the s'd Thomas WILLIAMS for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant promise and grant to and with ye s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns that before the ensealing of these presents I am the true owner of the above bargained premises and have in my self Good Right full power and Lawfull Authority to bargain and sell the same as above s'd and that the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns Shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie and Injoy the s'd bargained premises with the appurtenances free and clearly aquited Exonerated and discharged of and from and all manner of other and former gifts Grants bargains Mortgages Dowries or Entayas and incumbrances in the Law whatsoever, Furthermore I the s'd Thomas WILLIAMS for myself my heirs Executors and administrators, do Covenant and Engage the above bargained premises to him the s'd Ebenezer HURD his heirs and assigns against the lawful claimes or demands of any person or persons forever here after to warrant secure and defend In Witness whereof I the s'd Thomas WILLIAMS have hereunto set my hand and seale this Thirty First day of May Anodomini on Thousand seven hundred and twelve and in the Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Ann Queen of England &c
