Deed from Samuel WILLARD to Ensign Samuel LORD

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I Sam'll WILLARD of SayBrook in ye County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of Twenty three pounds old tenor which I have received in hand to my full satisfaction of Ens'n Sam'l LORD of ye same Say-brook have bargained and sold and by these presents Do give grant bargain sell & confirm unto the said Sam'll LORD his heirs & assigns forever all that my tract or parcel of land lying & being at a place called the Mill Meadows in Say-Brook aforesaid which was conveyed to me by Widow Kathrain BUSHNELL, Bounded Northerly by the upland & Southerly or Southeasterly by a small Brook & every way else by said ensign LORD's meadow be it for quantity more or less.

To Have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Sam'll LORD his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and Behoof & also I the said Sam'll WILLARD Do for myself my heirs executors and administrators Covenant with the said Sam'll LORD his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of ye premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee Simple and have good right to the same in manner and form as is above written & that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever & furthermore I the said Sam'll WILLARD by these presents Bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant & Defend ye above granted and bargained premises to him ye said Sam'll LORD his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal ye 29th day of Nov'r in ye 19th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George ye Second of Great Brittain &c., King Annoque Domini 1745.
