Entered 21 April 1758

To all people to whom these presents Shall Come Greeting Know Ye that I Sam'll WILLARD of Saybrook in the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England, for & in Consideration of twenty Seven pounds fifteen Shillings Lawfull money to me in hand paid by M'r William COCHRAN of ye same Saybrook have granted & Sold, & by these presents do freely & absolutely, Give Grant bargain Sell Convey & Confirm unto him the Said William COCHRAN his heirs & assigns forever one Certain tract or parcel of Land Lying & being in Saybrook afores'd near a Certain place called & known by the Name of Beaver Dam Containing about ten acres be it more or Less bounded as followeth, Viz. Eighty two rods Northerly on Lands Lately in ye tenure of Sam'll Webster runing Southerly to a Chestnut tree Sixteen rods, which tree hath Stones about it & Stands in the Edge of the Swamp Thence runing Streight South Easterly on ye Northerly Side of the Cart path Sixteen rods to a heap of Stones Eastward of the brook, from thence twenty rods Easterly to another heap of Stones Lying on the North Side of ye Cart path from thence Streight twenty Eight rods a Little Northward of the East to another heap of Stones Lying on ye North Side of the Said Cart path & from thence neer North Easterly Nineteen rods to a heap of Stones Lying by the highway Said Willard & Said WEBSTER, bounded also westerly & Southwesterly on P. WILLARDs land & Southerly & Easterly on highway

To have & to hold the above Granted & bargained premises with the priviledges & appurtenances thereof to the only proper Use & Behoof of the Said Will'm COCHRAN his heirs & assigns forever. And I the Said Sam'll WILLARD do hereby avouch myself to be the sole owner of the above granted premises & have good right to dispose of the? In Manner & form as is above Written And furthermore I the Said Sam'll WILLARD do by these presents bind my self & my heirs forever to Warrant & Defend the above bargained premises to him ye Said Will'm COCHRAN his heirs and assigns against all Claims & Demands whatsoever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 21st day of April in the 30th year of his Majesties Reign, Annoque Domini 1758
