To all Christian People to whome these presents Shall Come Greeting Whereas I William WELLMAN of Killingworth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England have purchased of John SHETHERS Neck lot as is described in a deed of sale under the hand and seale of s'd SHETHER Bareing Even date with these presents, know Know y'e that s'd WELLMAN doth hereby Grant to s'd SHETHER his heirs and assigns forever Liber to Improve s'd purchased half Rod of Land as a highway and s'd SHETHER doth hereby Grant to s'd WELLMAN his heirs and assigns forever liberty to Improve half a rod in Breadth of the wester most side of the remainder of his s'd Lot Lying adjoining to the above s'd half Rod as a highway In witness whereof the s'd WELLMAN and SHETHER have hereunto set our hands an seales this 8th Day of march Anno=Dom: 1728/9
