Deed from Benjamin TOWNER to Gideon WEBB
Know all Men by these presents that I Benjamin TOWNER of Haddam in the County of Hartford and Colony of Connecticut in New England for ye consideration of thirty pounds money to me in hand paid by Gideon WEBB of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony aforesaid have remised released and quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and quit claim unto him the said Gideon WEBB his heirs and assigns forever all that Seventeen acres of land in the Parish of Chester in Saybrook aforesaid on which said WEBB lives, bounded West on Sam'll WEBB, on John WEBB, North on Lott No. Nine and South on highway together the two hundred pound right in Pataconk with all the divisions of land that heretofore or shall hereafter be laid out thereon or belong thereunto being the whole estate conveyed to me by said Gideon by his deed dated the 13th of Feb. 1739/40.
To Have and to Hold all and singular the above released premises with the appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of the said Gideon WEBB his heirs and assigns forever to that I the said Benjamin TOWNER nor my heirs or assigns nor any person by from or under me or them shall not henceforth have claim challenge or demand any right estate possession proportion or interest in or unto the above released premises or the appurtenances thereof but from all right or estate therein or thereunto I and every one of them shall be effectually and forever barred by these presents.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of March Anno Domini 1742.
