To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

KNOW YE, That I John STANTON of Killingworth County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut for the consideration of thirty three Dollars thirty four cents--

Received to my full satisfaction of Silas CARTER of the Town County & State aforesaid-Do give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Silas a certain tract of Salt meadow lying on the Easterly side of the winter field so called - bounded northerly & Easterly on Samuel CRANE, Upland & ? Southerly on Hammonock River & westerly on the meadow of Samuel ??er Containing one acre & thirty six Rods-be the same more or less

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Silas his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said John do for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Silas his heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the remises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same if free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said John do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Silas his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of Oct'r Anno Domini 1806.--
