To all Christian People to whom these presents shall Come We Joseph STANNARD John STANNARD Jun'r and Sam'el STANNARD of ye Township of Say-Brook in ye County of New London in the Colony of Connecticut in N. England sendeth Greeting Know ye that ye s'd Joseph STANNARD John STANNARD Jun'r & Sam'el STANNARD for & in Consideration of ye sum of fifteen Pounds money allready Paid by James WRIGHT Sen'r of the Town of Killingworth in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut have & do by these presents give grant sell alienate Quit Claim unto & Release unto ye above names James WRIGHT his heirs & assigns a Certain Tract or Parcel of land lying in Oyster River quarter in ye Township of Say Brook, containing by estimation in ye whole one hundred & six acres, that is to say Seventy nine acres & a half within & as part of ye above mentioned Tract as it lyeth within the bounds hereafter mentioned which tract of land is called & known by the name of Treacle Hill & in ye whole is bounded west & South by ye meadow & Creed Easterly by Peter MURDOCK's land & Northerly by ye Common Country road or Highway. This tract of land of Seventy nine acres and a half within ye afores'd bounds we ye above named Joseph STANNARD John STANNARD & Samuel STANNARD for ourselves our heirs executors and administrators have given, granted Released and quited our claim unto & made over all our Right, Title Interest in ye afores'd Seventy nine acres & an half of land unto James WRIGHT aforesaid together with all ye Commodities Previledges & appurtainances thereunto belonging or in any manner or way thereunto appertaining to him the said James WRIGHT his heirs and assigns forever To Have & To Hold all ye above Quitted & Released Premises to his & their use Benefitt and behoof forever & we the above named Joseph STANNARD John STANNARD Jun'r & Sam'el STANNARD Do covenant & promise to & with ye afores'd James WRIGHT that from our heirs or any Person or Persons by or under us forever to Warrant Secure & Defend the same.
In Witness thereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this 12th day of May Anno Domini 1725 & in ye Eleventh year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great Brittain &c.
