Deed from Joseph STANNARD to Nathan POST

Know all men by the Presents that I Joseph STANNARD of Saybrook in the County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for and in Consideration of ye sum of fifteen pounds money to me in hand well and truly paid & satisfied by Nathan POST of SayBrook aforesaid have given granted bargained sold & by these presents Do fully freely and absolutely give grant bargain, sell aliene convey & Confirm unto him ye s'd Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever fifteen acres of land in Oyster River Quarter in ye Township of SayBrook afores'd ariseng on a fifty pound Right ye to be laid out according to the Draught or Lott & Rules of ye proprietors of said Quarter appearing of Record.

To have & To Hold all & singular ye said granted and Bargained premises with ye appurtainances to him ye s'd Nathan POST his heirs & assigns forever & I ye s'd Joseph STANNARD for myself my heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant & promise to & with the said Nathan POST his heirs and assigns that form this time forth & forever by force & vertue of these presents the said POST his heirs & assigns shall & may have hold use occupie posses & Injoy ye above demised & bargained premises with the appurtainances as a good perfect & absolute estate of inheritances in fee simple avarching the same to be my own & to have good Right in myself to Dispose of ye same manner as above said & ye same to be free & clear from all manner of Incumbrances whatsoever & furthermore I the s'd Joseph STANNARD for myself my heirs Executors & administrators Do promise and ingage ye above demised & bargained premises to him ye said Nathan POST against all Claims of all persons whatsoever & also to his heirs & assigns forever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend by these presents.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twentieth Day of January in ye fourth of his majesties reign Annoqe Domini 1730/1
