Deed from Thomas SPENCER, Junior to Michael HILL
To All People to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that I Thomas SPENCER Jun'r of Saybrook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England for the consideration of forty eight pounds in Currant Money Bills of Credit of the old tenor Received to my full satisfaction of Michael HILL of said Saybrook Do Give Grant Bargain Sell & Confirm unto the said Michael HILL four acres of land scituate in said SayBrook lying or being ye Northwesterly part of my home lot. Bounded East and North by highway West by said HILL's land and South by the remaining part of my said home lot.
To Have and to Hold the above granted & bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the said Michael HILLS his heirs & assigns forever to his & their own proper use & behoof.
And also I the said Thomas SPENCER Jun'r Do for myself my heirs executors & administrators Covenant with the said Michael HILLS his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good Indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner & form as is above written: and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore I the said Thomas SPENCER Jun'r do by these presents bind myself my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted & bargained premises to him the said Michael Hill his heirs & assigns Against all Claims & demands whatsoever.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifty day of March in the 18th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George ye 2nd of Great Brittain &c., King. Annoque Domini 1744.
