To all People to whom these presents shall come greeting &c Know ye that we Jared SPENCER & Caleb SPENCER both of SayBrook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England Husbandman for and in Consideration of ye sum of five pounds six shillings & Eight pence Currant money of ye said Colony to us in hand before ye ensealing hereof and truly paid by Mrs. Hannah FITHIAN formerly of East Hampton in ye Colony of New York now resident in Saybrook ye Receipt thereof we do hereby acknowledge & our selves therewith fully satisfied & Contented thereof & of every part & parcel thereof Do exonerate acquit & discharge ye said Hannah FITHIAN her heirs executors and administrators forever by these presents Have given granted sold alienated conveyed and confirmed & by these presents Do freely fully & absolutely give, grant sell alienate convey & confirm unto here ye said Hannah FITHIAN her heirs & assigns forever a certain parcel or tract of land scituated being & lying in said Saybrook in ye County & Colony abovesaid in Oyster River Quarter containing Thirteen acres and one third part of an acre not laid out it being a part of ye fifty division in s'd Quarter accruing by two thirds parts of a fifty pound Right according to said Quarter agreement to be laid out at ye cost & charge of ye s'd Hannah FITHIAN.

To Have and to Hold ye said granted & bargained premises with all the appurtenances, privileges & Commodities to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining to her ye said Hannah FITHIAN her heirs & assigns forever to her and their only proper use & behoof & benefit forever, & that ye said Hannah FITHIAN her heirs & assigns shall and may at all times hereafter by force & virtue of these presents lawfully & quietly have hold use occupie & Injoy s'd Demisted premises with all ye Appurtainances free & clear & freely & clearly exonerated & discharged of & from all manner of other gifts grants sales leases mortgages with Intails & all Incumbrances whatsoever furthermore we ye said Jared SPENCER and Caleb SPENCER for ourselves our heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant & Ingage ye above demised premises to her ye said Hannah FITHIAN her heirs & assigns forever against ye lawfull claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend.
