Deed from Thomas SPENCER, Sr. to Thomas SPENCER, Jr.

I Thomas SPENCER of Say-Brook in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England yeoman for and in Consideration of ye sum of a Reasonable Consideration to me in hand paid by Thomas SPENCER Jun'r ye Receipt whereof I do acknowledge myself therewith fully satisfied contented and paid and have given granted aliened sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant sell aliene convey and confirm unto him the said Thomas SPENCER Jun'r his heirs and assigns a certain Tract of meadow land seituated in Say-Brook West Society in ye Crotch Manuncatesit River containing one care and a quarter more or less, bounded West upon Eight Mile River, East upon ye Great Creek, Northerly upon William BUSHNELL's meadow, South upon Caleb SPENCER's meadow.

To Have and to Hold ye above granted and bargained premises with the appertainances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to him the said Thomas SPENCER Jun'r his heirs & assigns forever to his and their only use benefitt and behoof forever and that the said Thomas SPENCER jun'r his heirs and assigns shall and may from time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents lawfully and quietly have hold use occopie possess and enjoy said demised and bargained premises freely and clearly discharged from all gifts grants sales leases wills entails and all other Incumbrances whatsoever.

Furthermore I the said Thomas SPENCER do by promise for myself my heirs Executors and Administrators the above bargained premises to him the said Thomas SPENCER Jun'r his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter to Warrant Secure and Defend.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of December anno domini 1737.
