To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.
KNOW ye, That I Lorenzo SMITH of Saybrook in the County of Middlesex for the consideration of five Hundred Dollars Received to my full satisfaction of Zina JONES of said town & County Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Zina Jones one certain piece of Land lying in the 2d Society in Saybrook Containing about twenty acres more or less, with Barn thereon & bounded west on highway North on Jonathan BUSHNELL's heirs East on Elias BUSHNELL - South on Nathan POST 2nd - Also another piece of land lying on the west side of said highway where my dwelling House stands Containing about four Acres more or less together with said House bounded North on Jacob CHALKER 32 rods - West 24 rod on Josiah NOTT - South on Josiah NOTT 26 rods East on highway 29 rod. Also my Joiner Shop standing on the Highway
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the apurtenances thereof, unto him the said Zina Jones his heirs and assigns for ever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Lorenzo Smith do for my self and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Zina his heirs and assigns; that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seized of the premises, as a good indefeasible estate in fee-simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.
AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Lorenzo SMITH do by these presents, bind myself and my heirs for ever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said Zina Jones his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.
