Know all Men by these Presents That I Lorenzo SMITH of Westbrook County of Middlesex State of Connecticut
for divers good causes and considerations thereunto mooreing especially for the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars received to my full satisfaction of Elias HAYDEN of Westbrook aforesaid have remised released and forever quit claimed and do by these presents for myself my heirs justly and absolutely remise release and forever quit-claim unto the said Elias HAYDEN and to his heirs and assigns forever all such right and title as I the said Lorenzo SMITH have or ought to have in or to a certain piece of land with a Dwelling House thereon Standing and situated in said Westbrook bounded Northerly on Highway Easterly on William STOKES land Southerly on Wm STOKES and William D STANNARDS land Westerly on said William D STANNARDS land containing about half an acre be the same more or less-
To have and to hold the premises unto him the said Elias HAYDEN and his heirs and and assigns to the only use and behoof of the said Elias HAYDEN and his heirs and and assigns forever so that neither I the Lorenzo SMITH nor my heirs or any other person or persons for or in my name and behalf shall or will hereafter claim or demand any right or title to the premises or any part thereof but they and every of them shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two
