Deed from Proprietors to James WRIGHT

February ye 8th 1722/3

The Layed out for and by Desire of Mr. James WRIGHT of Saybrook two pieces of land in ye township of Say-Brook aforesaid one piece is laid out partly Between the two Hills called high hill & Chestnut Hill and is bounded East thirty six Rod upon Land not layed out & 144 Rod on aid WRIGHT's Land on Chestnut hill and West partly upon said WRIGHT's Land lying upon the high hill and land not laid out 180 Root Bound North 64 Rod on land not layed out South its bounded 42 Rod on land not laid out the North East Corner is a great Black Oake the North west Corner is a Crotched Birch tree & is ye N. E. Corner of the said WRIGHT's land on the high hill the South East Corner is a White wood tree & is the South East Corner of his said WRIGHT's Land that is on Chestnut Hill The South west Corner of the land now laid out is allso a White wood all which Trees are marked with JW & stones Layed at ye Root of them in this Bounds there is 59 acres & one 100 Rod.

The other piece of land we the subscribers layed out on ye South End of ye hill Called horse hill and is bounded west upon land Layed out to James WRIGHT-Deceased 88 Rod bounded South fourty two Rod on land not layed out and upon ye highway is Bounded East Eighty Rod on land not Layed out bounded North upon Land not layed out thirty eight Rod the N.West Corner is a heap of stones which is the N.East Corner of said WRIGHT's Land laid out before the North East Corner is ye South East said ye South west Corner are White Oake Trees all are marked with JW and stones layed at the Root of them in these two parcells of land there is Eighty acres and is layed out for a two hundred pound right laid out ye above day by us
