Deed from the Proprietors to James WRIGHT, Junior

May ye 21st 1718.
Then we the Subscribers lay out one piece of land for Mr. James WRIGHT, Jun'r of Saybrook which land lyes on the West side of the hill called Rase hill & on the East side of a tract of land formerly layed out to his father Mr. James WRIGHT & with in ye Quarter of Oyster River so called the land now layed out is in length North and South one hundred & two Rod and at the North end its forty rod at the South end its thirty six rods in which bounds there is twenty five acres & one hundred rod but by reason of its being so stoney it lyes but for twenty acres the land is bounded South upon his own land & West partly upon land formerly layed out to Mr. James WRIGHT Sen'r North upon the Common land and East upon Common or land not layed out the North west corner & ye North East Corner are white oake Trees all ye Trees are maked with a W. & stones layed at the Root of them. The North East and South west corners are small Black Oake Trees which are the North east & Northwest Corners of his s'd WRIGHT's land before layed out the land thus bounded is layed out upon a fifty pound RIGHT which ye said James WRIGHT bought of David BULL & his wife laid out and approved of by us measurers of land for the aforesaid Quarter in ye township of Saybrook
