Deed for land laid out to Nathan POST from the Proprietors
November 16 1731. Then laid out to Nathan POST on Joseph STANNARD's Right fifteen acres of land in Oyster River Quarter in ye Town of SayBrook in two pieces ye first piece is on ye south end of ye Old mares hill in said Quarter butted West on William BUSHNELL's Land & East on land this day laid out to ye heirs of Sam'll BATE late of SayBrook Dec'd & North on Common Land & is a Triangular Piece of one hundred & twenty Rods Northerly & Sotherly & 36 Rods at ye North east Corner Corner is a Wallnut staddle which is ye North West Corner of s'd Heirs land & ye North west Corner is a white Oak & ye South Corner is a stubb which is a monument of ye heirs of said BATES's land the other Pieces we laid out in ye Vallie between ye Old mares hill & the Iron mill Hill in s'd Quarter at ye North of Land belonging to W'm BUSHNELL & is Butted Southerly 27 Rods on s'd Land & West 12 Rod on ye piece first mentioned the South East Corner is a Chestnut Tree ye North East corner of said BUSHNELL's Land and the South west Corner is a Black Oak which is the North west Corner of said BUSHNELL's Land & ye North west Corner is a Black Oak staddle & ye North Eats is a Walnut all which Trees are marked & stones laid about them which fifteen acres is said STANNARD's full Proportion according to his Right in s'd Quarter In ye last Division of thirty acres to ye Hundred Pounds Rights agreed on by ye Proprietors of s'd Quarter
