To all Christian people to whome these presents shall Come Know ye that I Josiah ROSSETER of Killingowrth in the County of Newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England yeoman for and in Consideration of thirty pounds Currant money of s'd Coloney had and Received or secured by Bonds of Sam'll CARTER of the town County and Coloney afores'd Carpender of the Receipt whereof I the s'd Josiah ROSSETER Have Given Granted Bargained sold Allienated Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely Give, Grant bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm and make over unto the said Samuell CARTER his heirs and assigns forever a Certain Tractor or parcell of Land situate in the township of Killingworth in the antient Grant it being the Eight Divitian the 6th lot in the Draught, Containing forty acres & forty five Rods s'd Land lying at the uper End of the Black oak hill south of Crambury meadow begining at the southwest Corner of a walnut tree marked stoans about it, runing thence northwesterly 80 rods to a Chestnut stadle marked: thence north Easterly 81 Rods to a white oak tree marked stoans Cast about it thence south Easterly 80 Rods to a black oak tree marked stoans about it, thence southwesterly 81 Rods to the first mentioned Corner, as it lyes Bounded southerly by s'd CARTER's Land in part and party by Common other wais by Common Land To Have and To Hold all the above Granted premises with all the privilidges and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wais appertaining to him the said Samuel CARTER his heirs and assigns to his and their own sole and proper use benefit and behoof forever: and that free and Clear and freely and Clearly acqinted and discharged from all manner of former Gifts Grants Bargains sales mortgages or other incumbrances whatsoever moreover I the s'd Josiah ROSSETER for my self my heirs Executors & Administrators Do hereby Covenant to and with the s'd Sam'll CARTER his heirs and assigns to warrant secure and defend the above Granted premises against the Lawfull Claimes or damands of any person whomsoever and that I the said Josiah ROSSETTER am at the signing and sealeing of these presents the true and Lawfull owner of the above Bargained premises and have full power & Lawfull authority to sell and pass over the same In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale this twelvth Day of September In the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and twenty four & In the Eleventh year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George by ye Grace of God King of Great Brittain &c.
