Deed from Alexander ROLLO to Abraham CHALKER

This Instrument of Wrighting made the Eighth day of May one thousand Six Hundred Ninety three

WITNESSETH: that Alexander ROLLO of Machamootas in the Town bounds of Haddam for divers good causes him thereunto moving but especialy in consideration of a cow and calf now received and a pair of Bullocks to be delivered at or before the first day of may next hath sold alienated enfeoffed and confirmed like ways by these presents from him his heirs executors administrators and assigns doth sell alienate enfeoff and confirm unto Abraham CHALKER of Say.Brook these three parcels of land following all lying Say-Brook bounds and in Oyster River Quarter to wit; one parcel containing Ten acres of upland lying and being in the plain on ye West side of Cooks hill Swamp butting East with the lands of Samuel CHALKER, South with Joshua BUSHNELL's land, North and west with commons; Another parcel of upland containing three acres at the head of the plain called Sam'll CHALKER's Plain butting west and South with highways and east with Commons Also another parcel of upland and swamp upon which there is a new frame of a house lying on the East side of the long bridge butting on the West with the lands of Robert CHAPMAN on the South with the Highway on the East with the lands of the BUSHNELLS and on the North with the lands of Joshua BUSHNELL

To Have and to Hold all and severally ye aforementioned lands with fences improvements wood under wood timer trees ways, waters, stones minerals profits priviledges commanages benefits excepting the frame of the house which is sold to Sam'll CHALKER and this lott on which the frame is contains Eight acres and a half of land and all priviledges belonging to every parcel of these lands to him the said Abraham CHALKER and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever Hereby giving full power to the said Abraham CHALKER and his aforesaid to use and dispose of all and every parcel of land as their own proper heritage.

In Witness Whereof the said Alexander ROLLO hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above set down.
