Deed from Proprietors to Thomas SPENCER
Say-Brook March 29th 1732.

Then We the subscribers by ye Powers given us by proprietors of Oyster River Quarter in ye Town afores'd have layed out to Thomas SPENCER twenty acres of land lying on ye South side of a piece of land formerly layed out for John CLARK at a place called thre corner meadow in ye fore named Quarter the land is Bounded as follows we began at ye Northwest Corner of James POST's land then measured fourty eight rods Northerly to a Wallnut Tree which is the South West Corner of ye land laid out to ye said CLARK then measured Easterly fifty two Rods to a White (oak Tree) which is ye North east Corner of ye twenty acres & from said white Oake measured Eight rod Southerly where we stuck up a stake & layed stones about it which is ye south East corner then measured west fifty two rod to ye North West corner of s'd POST Land & is South west corner of SPENCER's twenty acres, The land is bounded West & East on Common, South upon James POST's land North Partly on Common & partly on CLARK;s land aforesaid This land is layed out upon fifty Pound Right which SPENCER bought of Ephraim BUSHNELL Jun'r which fifty Pound Right was Capt Sam'll CHAPMAN's it is fifteen acres according to ye Distribution last agreed on the five acres is layed out upon one third part of a fifty pound Right that was Mr. Thomas SPENCER's Dec'd so these two pieces make ye twenty acres & is in full of s'd SPENCER's land Last agreed upon by ye proprietors of ye Quarter aforesaid
