Deed from Proprietors to Abraham CHALKER and Rev. Isaac CHALKER
We the subscribers Measurers of land for the Proprietors of Oyster River Quarter in Say-Brook, laid out to Mr. Abraham CHALKER and ye Rev. Mr. Isaac CHALKER several pieces of land in the Quarter aforesaid viz; one piece lying on the South side of a piece of land of Ebenezer PLATTS we began at a Crtched Birch tree which is the Northeast Corner and ye North west Corner of a piece of land Formerly laid out to Them We Ran Westerly Eighty Rod to an Ash Tree being Ebenezer PLATTS South West Corner from thence We Ran Southerly Fourty Eight Rods to A Chestnut Stooping tree which is one of Samuel CHALKER's corners from thence We Ran Northeasterly twenty rods to a Chestnut tree which is the Southwest Corner of the old Division thence Northerly Seventy six rods to the Birtch trees first mentioned all the trees are marked and stones about them this piece contains twenty seven acres and twenty rods and bounds East on their old Division partly and partly on a ye piece next to be mentioned North on Ebenezer PLATTS land West on Sam'll CHALKER's or Common land South partly on Sam'll CHALKER's and part on the next mentioned piece.
And another piece lying on the South side of their old Division and bunds Northerly thereon and comes to a point at the Easterly end at the Monument where two divisions butt one upon the other being a Chestnut tree from thence ye line runs Westerly Eighty four rods to a Black Oak tree being the Northwest corner of their lower division from thence the line runs still Westerly thirty nine rods to a White oak tree being a corner of Peter MURDOCK's land and from thence still Westerly twenty one rods to another white oak tree being a corner of a piece of land of Sam'll CHALKER's and from thence still westerly Sixty rods to the white oak mentioned in the first piece being a corner of a piece of land of said Sam'll CHALKER's from thence we ran twenty rod North Easterly to ye Chestnut tree above mentioned being the South west corner of their old Division and from thence the line runs Easterly to the corner first mentioned where their divisions meet all which trees are marked and stones about them this piece bounds Westerly on the piece first mentioned Southerly partly by their own land and partly on MURDOCK's land and partly on ye piece next mentioned and Containing Thirty four acres and twenty rods.
Another piece we laid out for them between their lower Division and Mr. MURDOCK's land and it bounds East one hundred and twelve rods on their own land and Westerly one hundred and Ninety six rod on MURDOCK's land and East 16 rod on Common land and Southeasterly fourty eight rods on Mr. Willoughby LYNDE's land and Northerly thirty nine rods on ye last above mentioned piece the Norwest Corner and ye Southwest corner is a black oak the norwest corner of their lower Division the Southeast Corner is a black oak staddle being Sixteen rods South ward of their Southwest corner in these bounds is contained twenty one acres and 96 rods these pieces contain eighty two acres and 136 rod and is in full of their proportion in the last division and twelve acres and 136 rods in part of what their land formerly laid out on PIERSON's land.
