Deed from Proprietors to Thomas SPENCER

Saybrook feb'y ye 5th 1746/7-----Then laid out to Mr. Thomas SPENCER a piece of land adjoining to his land at falls river in Oyster River Quarter in Saybrook bounding West on land formerly laid out to him beginning at a stake & stones in Dan'll LAY"S fence thence running Easterly, bounding South on said Dan'll LAYS Lot Seven Rod and an half to that part of the third length of his fence from the highway bounded East thereon 66 rods to a Black oak Stubb, in said SPENCER's former line from thence Easterly close to the East end of the Sawmill Incompassing the same thence to a heap of Stones now used for a chimney in the saw house or Shelter, and from thence Northwesterly five rods to a small white oak tree which is one of his former corners. This piece contains about two acres & is laid out for what one of his former Divisions by mistake was lapt on upon land of Mr. Willoughby LYNDE.
