Deed from Proprietors to Samuel BROOKER

Say-Brook October 20th. 1743 We the subscribers Measurers of land for ye Proprietors of Oyster River Quarter have measired and laid out to Sam'll BROOKER these several piece of land In said Say-Brook aforesaid hereafter Described viz: one piece lying on ye East side of ye Highway & a little North Easterly from Thos. SPENCER Jun'r's Barn bounding Six Rods South & 26 Rods East on said SPENCER's land Eight rods Northerly on Sergt. Robt. LAY's land and 22 Rods Westerly on the Highway aforesaid the Corners are all heaps of Stones.

And one piece on ye Hill South of Eph'm JONES' House & Bounded Easterly fifty Rods on Ensign SPENCER's land & every way else by highway beginning at a Wallnut Tree being Said SPENCER's Norwest Corner, thence Running Southwesterly Eight rods to a heap of Stones lying on a flat rock about the middle of the Eastern edge of ye Ledg of it thence Southerly thirty eight Rods to a small Rock with stones upon it neer a small Run of water West from ye Dividing Line between said Ensign & Jonathan SPENCER & from said Rock the line runs Southeasterly about fourteen Rods to a Great Rock with a piece split of from the east side of it neer Jonathan SPENCER's fence.

Another piece we laid out for him not far Southeasterly from ye Pine Swamp bounding Sixteen Rod Westerly on highway, Northerly Partly on Ens'n Caleb SPENCER;s land and Partly on Common land Fourty four Rods East on Thos. SPENCER's land twenty Rods, South on Jos. SPENCER's land 24 Rods the South west Corner is a Black Oak Tree being Jos. SPENCER's Norwest Corner the North west corner is a heap of stones on a Rock being Ens'n SPENCER's Southwest Corner the South East Corner is Stones laid on a rock being the Northeast corner of Jos. SPENCER's land.

And one piece more of land laid out for him on ye eastward side of the highway aforesaid north easterly of ye Pine swamp beginning at a white Oak stadle thence Running North easterly fourty Eight rods to a great Chestnutt tree thence Northwesterly Sixty Rods to a white oak stadle thence Southwesterly Thirty six rods to a Black oak stadle thence South Easterly fifty two Rods to the first mentioned Bound all which Corners Monuments are marked & Stones laid about them this piece is bounded every way on Common land & land left for Highway all which pieces contain twenty two acres and a half of land & is laid out to him at the Desire upon the liberty of a Great Number of ye Proprietors of sd. Quarter in liew & Consideration of ye like quantity of land which he ye said BROOKER conveyed to sd proprietors by his deed with Warranty dated this 7th Day of November 1743.
