Proprietors of Oyster River to John and Hannah BAILEY
Laid out to Mr. John BAILEY of Killingworth & Mrs. Hannah his wife a slip of land on the West side of their farm in Oyster River Quarter in the Township of Saybrook where Mr. James BAYLEY now dwells, beginning at a white oak tree in or near the West line of their said farm & about Eleven Rods North of their Northwest corner and from thence Westerly 14 Rods to a heap of Stones about three or four foots west of a double maple tree, from thence we run Northward 156 Rods to a heap of stones half a rod to the west of a black oak tree which is the Northwest corner of their farm, So the land Butts East upon their said farm, and West and North upon Common and South upon highway and contains Seven acres which is laid out to them in lieu of a slip of land conveyed by them to the proprietors of said Quarter for a highway across the South end of their said farm in a deed bearing date with these presents and referring hereto. August 16th, A.D. 1746.
