Deed from Stephen POTTER to John MINER

To all People to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye that I Steven POTTER of New London in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut in New England aforesaid for the consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty Pounds Currant money of New England aforesaid to me in hand paid by John MINER of New London in the County and Colony aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and therefore have given granted bargained sold aliened enfeofed conveyed and confirmed unto the said John MINOR his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land situate lying and being within the Township of SayBrook in the west part thereof in the County and Colony aforesaid containing fifty four acres and is butted and bounded as follows that is to say on the highway east on the land of Mr. Jared ELLIOTT South partly on a ditch west and partly on a creek west from the west end of said ditch on menuncateset river until said river runs close to upland, then it bounds west upon a ditch twenty rods where is erected a heap of stones and from said heap of stones to a walnut tree standing by the highway, bounds west on ye lands of Abraham and Joseph WATERHOUS, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any way appertaining.

To have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises to him the said John MINER his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof forever.

And I the said Stephen POTTER for my self my heirs executors and administrators do Covenant to and with the said John MINOR his heirs and assigns that at and untill the ensealing hereof I am the true sole and lawfull owner of the bargained premises and stand seized thereof as a good indefeasible estate in Fee Simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and forme as is above written and that the same is free of all Incumbrances whatsoever.

And furthermore I the said Stephen POTTER Do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said MINER his heirs and assigns against all claims whatsoever.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of June 1736.
