Deed from Abraham POST to Charles WILLIAMS
To all Christian People to whom these presents shall come Know ye that I Abraham POST of Say-Brook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut in New England for Divers good Causes & Considerations & Especially for & in Consideration of ye Sum of one pound ten shillings Currant money of this Colony to me in hand paid before ye ensealing hereof well & truly paid by Charles WILLIAMS of Say-Brook in ye County & Colony aforesaid ye Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself satisfied & Contented & do by these presents have Remised Released & forever Quit-Claimed & by these presents for himself & his heirs doth fully clearly & absolutely remise release & forever Quit Claim unto ye said Charles WILLIAMS his full & peaceable possession & seizene & to his heirs & assigns forever all such Right Estate title Interest & Demand whatsoever as ye s'd Abr'm POST have or ought to have of in or to all and every of that tract or parcell of land lying & being on Northern part of ye township of Saybrook Commonly called & Known by Town Land belonging to me as my proper Right by any means whatsoever, to have & to Hold all such Right or priviledge unto ye said Charles Williams his heirs & assigns forever so that neither ye said Abraham POST nor his heirs & nor any other person nor persons for him or them or in his or their names or in ye name Right or stead of any of them shall or will by any way or means forever here after have claim Challenge or Demand any part or parcel thereof but from all & Every action Right Estate title interest & Demand of in or to ye premises or any part or parcell thereof they & Every of them shall be utterly excluded & barred forever by these presents & also ye s'd Abraham POST & his heirs the s'd Remised with ye appurtainances to ye s'd Charles WILLIAMS his heirs & assigns to his & their own proper use & uses in manner & forme as afores'd against their heirs & assigns & Every of them shall Warrant & forever defend by these presents in Witness whereof I have set my to my hand & seal this 26th day of April A.D 1726
